Advise for Monte Shelton Northwest Rally

I didn't get much response the first time I asked so I'm trying again.  It
looks like I will be in Portland during the running of the Monte Shelton
Northwest Classic Rally.  After a little research it looks like the starting
ceremonies on Thursday are the time to spectate.  Anyone have an idea of
when the cars are open to appreciating/viewing and when the actual start is?
Any past experience on what Alfa participation will be like?  Thank you for
any help to an out-of-towner trying to coerce his family to yet another car
event.  I am a member of AROO if that helps me get the inside track.
