Re: spider speaker placement

I made a "false floor" panel that lays flat behind the seats. Essentially it lies across the small hump and provides enough space to mount 6x9 speakers on either side with small "legs" to keep it flat. Speakers face upward and provide good sound, and are not blocked up by the top when it is down. I covered it with appropriate auto carpet that matched the rest of the interior carpet and, because it matches the footprint of the space behind the seats, it looks like it was the way the car was made. I got the idea from a spider I saw at the Alfa convention in Phoenix several years ago. It does not require any hacking on the car and is easily removed.

Subject: Spider ...Stereo Speaker Placement?

<snip>. I am deciding if I should cut out new holes for the stereo
speakers on the sides. (I bought 3.5" speakers instead of putting back the
5" ones.) Or, if I should install the speaker somewhere else like the doors.
I do not listen very much to the stereo. I like listening to the ENGINE
better. But my wife likes to listen whenever she's riding shotgun.

Thanks in Advance
