re: Spider brake lights out
You can access the brake lights from inside the trunk, just pull back the
carpet at the plastic snaps. I seem to recall that I could not find a
replacement bulb at the local "Schmucks"; I went to our local dealer
(Ferrari of Seattle); they had to look the part up on microfiche!
Also, check the 20 (amp?) fuse that's I think 2nd or 3rd from the left in
your fuse box. (The fuse box is under the left knee kick-panel.) It might
be that the fuse has snapped.
Lastly, IF your Spider is like mine and has the three
brass-covered connections on the left hand side of end of the
trunk lid: These three contact points may not be connecting. The three on
the top are sprung, and make contact with the three flat patches on the
bottom (one for each light). You can use a metal file to chamfer the
edges of the spring-back contacts (to get a nice contact) or just use
sandpaper, and you can score the surface of the flat contacts as well.
Prolly good to lubricate the bulbs when you put them in too.
All pretty easy-peasy, and prevents getting a $75 ticket for not having
working lights...
