Re: Re: Glorious northern CA
Having lived here for 14+ years, it's easy to think traffic is horrible
and we have to drive elsewhere to -DRIVE-.
To keep things in perspective, Greg was on holiday and was probably on our
beautiful country roads after rush hour, while we're in our offices or
places of employment. Try taking a long coffee break, at say 10am someday
and run up HWY 9, or 35, or any other local twisties and you'll find
little traffic to speak of. Even if you get stuck behind Carlos'
Landscaping Ford F150, your Alfa has enough go to get around it quickly.
Traffic is much lighter between 10am and 3pm daily.
To be sure, most of the time I do sit in traffic but that's because I live
in suburbia. Thank God my AC in the 164 works good ... :-). I look at
the hills in the distance and dream a little (think about it, the folks in
LA can't even SEE the hills most of the time ... right Charlie?)
The grass is green here, but only when you're not (or too busy to be)
looking at them!
