Removing the rocker panels on a 91 Spider

When my 91 Spider was repainted a number a years (1997) ago the shop had the
same problem. They are double sided taped to the body, they left mine on and
painted them on the car. It's been at least five years and it still looks
good, including the rocker panels.

I'd  be willing to bet that you wouldn't get them back on and look like
original.
