Be sure the "weatherstrip" is on the false firewall...

Install the hot water shut off valve in the hose under the distributor area,
takes heat out of the system. Heat gets by old foam seal on heater door flap.

Use R12 in 91-93 cars, R134 will deliver mediocre results on a good day.

Make sure ALL of the radiator shielding, (plastic baffles and rubber flap) are
in place under hood between headlights, to force air through the
condenser/radiator. Critical....

I'll post later on a method to jump the fan relays so that the fan runs high
speed all the time, not 2 stage.

I have done these things and have 42 degree R12 air in my 168(164). The a/c
system in the car is not exotic....don't let anyone tell you otherwise. A/C is
A/C. Correct parts, correct install, it will work.

Just forget 134a.

Bill in Florida, where it's hot and humid.
