NASCAR / road racing issues

Mr. Smith- Road racing tracks aren't "inherently superior to ovals for passing opportunities"-witness all the Mickey Mouse road courses in use in contemporary F1.Virtually all passing maneuvers on road courses occur at corners where one driver outbrakes another,"power differential" has nothing to do with it.If the corner is too narrow or too tight there is no room for passing.Modern singleseaters are simply too wide.Your statement about driver skill in NASCAR being focused on aero effects is incorrect.Wing dimensions and angles are set by the sanctioning body before the race. What separates the successful NASCAR drivers from the also-rans is their ability to communicate with their crew chiefs during the race to request chassis and tire pressure changes to improve handling.
