Sounds right.  There is also some stuff sold at the grocery store for 
removing the wax (paraffin) they slather on veggies, and it is made from 
citrus oil.  Also, if it is actually wax, ammonia is probably the solvent.  
But it may be some kind of car polish we call wax that is actually some other 
concoction.
