For those of you who haven't been to Sears Point in a while, they tore it
down and put up a big shopping mall. There's a huge wine discount
warehouse, the facade of which is festooned with glow-in-the-dark plastic
grape vines, that sells T-shirts and hats with the official "Wine Country"
logo (tm), self-adheasive "Calvin urinating on Osama Bin Laden" stickers,
and Franzia wine (made in Korea) in five gallon jugs. Sam's Club, Wall
Mart, and Costco are the "anchor" chains, with McDonalds, Burger Kind, Taco
Bell, and KFC holding down the food court. An Indian Casino is in the
works, which will be opening "The Grand Old Opry West" for evening
entertainment. The media campaign will feature Dolly Parton and the catch
phrase "ever-bodi git ready for a down-home, country-good time."

Yee haw. I can hardly wait. (The exploding plastic inevitable....)
