RE: Convention travel I40 and forest fires?

Bernie, both I-40 and I-10 are open and unaffected by the fires. I-10 thru
Phoenix is usually the best route from Tx to socal...but I-40 is cooler in
the summer heat!
Ev in sunny Az--418,000 acres burned, 10% contained.

Subject: Convention travel I40 and forest fires?

Ev anyone in the Southwest USA:
We're heading out from Texas, in our '92 spider to the Alfa Convention
and decided not to go via I10 but use I40 instead. Any problems with
Highway closings related to the fires? Will we have any problem I40? The
web fire info looks like things are at least 20 miles from the
interstate.
Thanks for any Info?
