Slingers-What are they?
Not sure why there would be a slinger on a driveshaft, but as far as I know
the slinger on the timing chain is usually a disk of metal that collects
descending oil and quite literally 'slings' it around as it rotates on the end
of the crank to provide additional splash lubrication to the cam chain and any
other internals that happen to get in the way.
Now someone will tell me i'm wrong
