Spider cams

Has anyone ever found there cams worn. I have a 91 spider and i checked the 
valve clearances  a few months back and they were in spec. Im wondering if 
the cam lobes are worn? Is this common on 91 spider. I took the car on a long 
trip this weekend and it ran wonderful, but it does clatter.
