Tony, I bought one of those kits from Kmart two years ago and "converted" my
90 Spider. The kit consisted of inlet and outlet adapters, a can of
compressor oil, and two cans of r64 freon. I took my car to a shop to have
them evacuate what was left of the r12. Then I added the adapters, put in the
oil, and two cans of freon and the ac has been working great since. I used to
have the r12 charged every year, but it has been 2 years since I added the r64
and it is still blowing cold. It was the best $40 I have ever spent on the
car.

I was wondering if anyone in the group has converted there A/C from R-12 to
the newer type of refrigerant. Is it simply a matter of using one of those
kits available at Walmart?
