Bleeding Dual Circuit 69 Brakes Again and Again and...

I can't believe this is still not working. I took it to a professional with
vacuum and pressure bleeders and he swears there is no air in the system. Yet
the pedal is still low and soft. Its a newly resleeved MC, new front brake
hoses, and I've gone through a number of quarts of DOT 3 fluid trying to bleed
it myself, cracked the lines at the boosters, kept the engine running and so
on and so forth. What else do I need to do? I'm a desperate man and the matchs
are starting to whisper to me, "burn it, burn it, burn it..."

Awwww.. that was my first car.. don't hurt her!

Though I understand, and might be in a similar mental place if I was you..

Couple of things.. have you gone into the MC's? I have this mental picture of bad seals (or rust pitted bores) allowing the fluid to leak down, part way thru the pedal travel.. Could the vaccum boosters cause this kind of symptom?

I have the strongest memory, that my 69 Berlina had only one booster/MC. Yes it was 20 years ago, but the dual circuit pictures I see just don't look right. Was it ever done, to replace the dual system with a single booster one? Or, did I only think I had a "69" and it might have been a 71? (pretty darn sure that the date plate stated 69)
If you can convert systems.. was it a good idea, and might it be a stress reducing option for Mitch?
