Travel alert: AROC-USA Convention and Scandinavia

Hoping to see many of your smiling faces here in Southern California for the 
AROC Convention coming up over the July 4 weekend!  For those who may be 
interested and wondering: the coastal weather lately has been typical for 
this time of year: dense fog and cloud cover in the mornings, cool 
temperatures, even local drizzle and/or "fog-drip" that usually clears midday 
to pleasant temps and clear to hazy skies.  It is chilly at night at the 
beach.  Inland, where there is little or no dense morning cloud cover, the 
summer weather is starting.  I'd expect these conditions to prevail July 3 - 
7 as well.  If you're coming from a temperate climate, be prepared for temps 
between 50F and 100+F (possibly even on the same day) and bring plenty of 
sunscreen!

For those who will be with us in Costa Mesa, my BW and I are leading the 
Friday, July 5 driving tour, which is shaping up to be fantastic!  We are 
offering two different times/places to join the tour, three different 
times/places you can leave according to you whims (or whims of your car), and 
as interesting, fun, and varied a driving experience as you could dream of 
(including some great roads and terrific scenery!).  Once you have 
participated, you will well and truly feel you have experienced Southern 
California, which is why we're calling it: Discover Southern California 
Driving Tour Adventure - the Good... the Bad... and the Ugly.

A splendid time is guaranteed for all - including a pre-tour optional 
breakfast stop and a lunch stop.

Attention, Alfa friends in Scandinavia: Bonnie and I will be visiting your 
part of the world immediately following the AROC convention.  Drop me an 
email and let's see if we can manage to meet!  We've already been in touch 
with some Digesti in the area, but due to a computer problem contact 
information here may be lost, so please drop me a reminder email even if 
we've already corresponded (you know who you are).
