Fellow Alfisti who conduct their own compression tests beware: You're apt to 
get your knickers in a twist if you don't hold the throttles open . Closed 
throttles will throw the whole process akilter, yielding numbers that might 
at first blush, cause you to prematurely open the IAP catalog, ordering head 
gasket kits. Thanks to T. Sahines and others for the helpful advice, 
resultant peace of mind and another addition to the parts collection.
