'76 Spider seat questions

In #809 Jason Glover asks (in three parts, but I'm skipping the third):
"1. Are the drivers and passenger seats interchangeable? I know which is
which, but I may want to switch them due to
less wear on the passenger seat cushion.

"2. Where do the thick metal spacers under the mounting
points go? Specifically front, back, drivers side,
passenger side. I remember both being under the passenger
seat, but it was long ago when they came out, so maybe one
does go under the drivers seat. Maybe they both do, I
can't recall."

#1. I'm going on the basis the seat cushions have not been removed. The
back adjusters are on the inside, with the seat hold down latch's on the
outside.

#2. Should those metal spacers actually be round and plastic and there
are only two of them, they (each) go between the rear outside (door)
seat rail base and the rails themselves.

If they are actually metal (not plastic) and there are more than
two...never mind.
