115.01 GTV VIN's

The door plate on my (registered as)1974 GTV says it was built in October 
1974.  The cowl plate says it's a 115.01.  The VIN is AR3025718, which falls 
somewhere between the 1974 and 1975 range on John's reference for USA cars.

Now I MUST find out how to trace the birth and formative years of my car -- 
was it a Euro delivery that was later imported to the USA?  It does have the 
small round side marker lights, but those could have been added later.  It 
is a Spica car and looks to have been from the start.  The cams are 
10548032001 cams from the Euro spec cars, but again could easily have been 
added later.

Maybe it came in through Canada or Mexico, and is some sort of 115.01 mutt.  
Of course, it could just be the result of marginal bookkeeping by Alfa, too.

The game is afoot!
