- Thread-topic: 1973 GTV VIN
Question: Does D'Amico & Tabucchi's book have a list of VIN ranges by
year similar to Fusi? My GTV was registered as a 1974 model year in CA
when I bought it there in 1992 (I didn't think anything of it at the
time). However I'm definitely sure it is a 1973. According to Museo
Storico the build date is 6/13/73. Additionally, the sticker next to
the SPICA airbox says it complies with MY 1973 EPA and Cali emissions,
the seatbelts have a label that they comply with MY 1973 standards and
the car came with a 1973 owners manual. Unfortunately the car is
missing the build plate on the drivers side (lhd) door jamb. I'd like
to get a copy of D&T's list from a digesti if possible, as the Fusi I
have cuts off with 1972. What I'm trying to do is gather enough
evidence for the WA DMV to re-register the car as a 1973 so I may take
advantage of the WA collector plates when my car turns 30 next year.
TIA,
John Burrows
