The usual suspect is rust at the base of the windscreen where the leaves and
dirt create a nice rust farm by the heater intake. It's hard to reach but
you can get your arm under the wiper assembly and feel all the gunk and
perhaps some unwanted holes.

There's plenty of sound deadening material against the firewall so you
should be able to feel where it's moist to get an indication of water
ingress.
