Split CV Boots?

The only reference that I recall to 164 boots and Jetta is one that I
posted:
I recently had to change a tie rod boot (164S but probably for many other
models) and discovered that this boot along with the ball joint boots is the
same as a VW Golf and Jetta. The colour is red (!)and the material urethane.
The cost for a kit of two was about Cdn. $20., # 12-5575 from Bugpack in
Anaheim, CA.
Also, I tried the StickyBoot replacement for CVs and was not satisfied.
