Installing AC in Vintage Alfas

I'd like to buy and use a Giulia Super as my daily driver, but a closed car
at midday in Hawaii virtually necessitates air conditioning.

Installing AC in a Super seems like a pretty big project. Has anyone on the
Digest taken on a project like this? Any idea about the costs of parts and
labor--is it likely more than $2000? Does anyone know if there are any
"kits" available or know of any resources? Can anyone comment on AC
installed as an option on the later Berlinas?

I would appreciate any constructive thoughts or advice.

Thanks,
Dan in Honolulu
