Re: Clutch pedal - steering wheel clearance
I don't have an answer for you, but I am well aware of the problem. I have
an 83 spider. I am 6' 3" and my left knee must come up between the
steering wheel and the door panel when I put my foot on the clutch. When I
was driving the car every day, I just got used to it. Now, when I only
drive it occasionally, I am more aware of the tight fit. A smaller
steering wheel, or one with more dish to it, or both, would probably give
more room, but I would hate to give up my wood steering wheel. I am
interested to hear if anyone has modified something to lessen this
problem. You may find that you get used to it. Perhaps a physical
therapist could recommend some exercises for your hip? :>) Sorry I cannot
be of more help.
