need some help with engine numbers

Vito Pacione asks about his engine block AR*00526*41094* - "My reference book
makes me thing that it is a 1600 block from a Giulia Super because it is a
type 526 block, but the serial number is way below what the serial numbers are
supposed to start at, so I really don't know what to make of all this."

Fusi has the 526 blocks starting with 00526.00001 (can't get much lower than
that!) in 1965, with the 1967 range 00526.36688 to 00526.56718, with one
listing going up to 76718 which is probably a misprint. Misprints happen, but
I'd bet on a '67 Super.
