RE: Changing T-Belt and Waterpump on a 164
Tips for replacing a 164 waterpump. Remove the PS pulley rather than
loosening the PS pump. Your replacement waterpump probably has a
different profile than the old one. Getting the old waterpump off is a
challenge, you can cut it off. Tightening the serpentine belt properly
can be a challenge. I use a coil spring compressor to pull the tensioner
toward the crankshaft nut.
