Re: alfa-digest V8 #725

This is for all you clowns who don't seem to understand the word "team."
Ferrari is a team, dedicated to winning both the constructors and drivers
titles. To that end they have spent billions of dollars with the contractual
agreement that MS will be their champ and RB is the #2 driver. Don't forget
RB wasn't there first and he isn't the reason Ferrari is winning. If you
don't think so ask Eddie Irvine...
Let me see if I can put it so it makes sense... Anybody out there
watch the last season in the NFL? Ever hear of the New England Patriots?
Think Drew Bledsoe got a raw deal? It is the Super Bowl, there are .02
seconds left, the ball is on the opponents 12 yard line and you trail by one
point. Your star running back needs one yard to break the Super Bowl record
and the NFL record for most yards in a post season... So you give him the
ball to get the record right? How many of you whiners would make that call if
you were the coach, or better yet how long would the coach, who made that
call, have his job if you were the owner and had spent billions building a
World Championship team. Yeah, I didn't like the call either but F 1 is a
business not and amateur sport and the companies, which pony up hundreds of
millions of dollars in sponsorship, want what they pay for... Besides RB is
only 29, MS is 33-34 so RB still has a shot at a couple of World Titles after
MS gets his records and retires. Then we'll really see what RB is made of...
Think 2 points short of the drivers title and now with Jaguar. Or maybe BAR
and JV... He is a former World Champ, looks like he really has focused the
team behind him. It takes a very special driver to get the entire resources
of an F 1 team focused in one direction.
One thing further, RB just sold two more years of his life to Ferrari
as their #2, if he doesn't mind why the hell do all of you?
