HP from motors!

Eric S and Alex J made a couple of comments about the ridiculous HP made by turbo motors
during the GP turbo days.

I came across a luvly quote in Cyril Posthumous book "Classic Racing Cars" in which he
relates about a sign hung on a dyno cell. Published in 1977, so things may have changed
since then?

"On the door of one of the dynamometer cells at John Nicholsons's Hounslow works, where
Cosworth-Ford DFV engines are prepared for the McLaren Formula 1 team there hung until
recently a notice which put the problem in a nutshell.  It said:

BHP = 60 percent perspiration
            10 percent inspiration
            10 percent constipation
            20 percent manipulation"
