Now that we are in the digitally interconnected world, it is so easy to
call upon vast resources of information, mainly the printed word and
diagrams/drawings/pictures. Humans absorb a tremendous amount of data
via vision. But it is about time to bring another of our senses to
bear, that is, hearing. So much of auto diagnosis requires hearing what
the sound the component is making. Why not have a library of
engine/tranny/differential diagnostic sounds so that when the
description includes the words 'sounds like', 'listen for', it would be
easy to pull up a sound-sample to go along with the written description?
