Maybe it was the fuel door release? Maybe I've just had my brain fried
at work the last few days & since I have not driven my 164 hardly at all
the past year just maybe I made a mistake. Won't happen again! Glad to
have been Di Matteo-ized ;-) It didn't even hurt that bad!

What ever gave you the idea the hand brake must be up to open the trunk
from the dash? The only time you can not open the trunk from inside is
when the lock in the trunk is turned fully counterclockwise to prevent
valet or anyone not authorized to get in there. Fred Di Matteo AROC
