wrench caveat

Amid the discussion discussion of DIY....

There is a very neat type of tool called a "gear wrench" (may be a trade
name) -- at any rate, much like a box-end, except that the "teeth" ratchet
within the box -- one side up, ratchets one way; other side up, ratchets
the other way. Voila! Just the thing.....

However, what if you have turned the screw almost out -- but not quite --
that's as far as it goes, but the head has the "box" captured without
enough clearance to remove the wrench? Simple -- turn the screw back in
-- but the wrench won't turn that way....

It looks sooo handy to use this wrench on the 164 pan bolts (screw) behind
the crankshaft pulley.....it works on <one> of the <two>....
