I bought the whole parking brake assembly from APE, but  still have the box
in my garage, I have been trying to fix my water pump. I replaced the water
pump and now the car won't start, what a crock! I think that the problem
could be the points. I tried to pretend that there were no points hoping
that I wouldn't have to play around with them, oh well, onward through the
fog!

   I'll be interested to know if you fix the e-brake.
I've replaced the pawl and the ratchet, and the handle still needs Viagra
and 
a plastic wheel chock to stay up....

Then again, I'm not much of a wrench, but the whole thing SEEMED so 
straightforward!
