Still room in the Mid-Atlantic AROC driving school, May 4-5

If you've been thinking about attending the Mid-Atlantic AROC's spring
driving school at VIR May 4-5, there's still time to sign up! Come
enjoy Southern hospitality at this historic track where a pack of GTAs
embarassed Richard Petty in 1966! For more information and a
registration form, visit www.midatlanticaroc.org/DriverEd/track.htm.

We will be alternating sessions with racers from the Vintage Sports Car
Club of America (VSCCA). The race and school sessions will be completely
separate, but school participants will be able to watch the racing
between their runs. We've learned that among the vintage race cars will
the only surviving Alfa Romeo 8C 35 Grand Prix car, an awesome, brutal
machine that was driven by Nuvolari himself. Last year, this car started
at the back of a field of 14 Bugatti's and other prewar cars and still
won the race by an easy half-lap over the second place car.
