Loctite vs. Permatex

I am about to install my '76 Spider flywheel and the book 
says use Loctite 270 on the bolts. I can't find it 
anywhere on the shelf. Is there a Permatex equivalent? I 
know they used to be the same company, but have recently 
separated. What's so special about 270? Will something 
else work?
