Does this mean that it can't be attacked by brake fluid, or is 
this just wishful thinking?

I slathered the engine compartment of my '72 Saab with POR15, including the 
area near the clutch and brake masters, two years ago. No damage from fluid 
apparent thus far. As I understand it, the stuff is impervious to everything 
but light.
