They did sue GM and successfully, at least they got GM to stop using their 
trademark name.

Among the most stupid names for vehicles Beretta has to rank fairly high. 
But, apart from the totally obscure Japanese anglicized names (the Toyota 
RAV 4 springs to mind (intended to connote insanity perhaps?), as does the 
Camry (what's a Camry?  half camel half ???)) GM leads the world in stupid 
vehicle names: Aztec, Escalade,Avalanche, Chevette, Z28 (an option code for 
gawd's sakes) and so on.

I await the release of GM marketed Alfa's with considerable trepidation. 
After all, they totally screwed up the marketing of the Oldsmobile Aurora 
(starting with the name which is a total loser) which is only the best car 
GM produced in North America.
