This is not unusual for aggressively driven 164s when parts of the front
suspension start to wear out. After 150K miles on my 164S the only cure
was to replace both of the lower A-arms and ball joints. You won't feel
the clunks or sloppiness in the early stages, and if you ever do just
park the car until its fixed.
