Re: leather seats coming apart?
I'm a big fan of sheepskin seat covers and have had them on all of my cars
for the past 25 years. They're luxurious to the touch.. wear like iron and
may outlive your car. Best yet they are warm in the winter and cool in the
summer. I've lived in the Pocono mountains for many years and now in Florida
for the past 5 years. They are even better in FLorida.
And they're cheaper than re-doing leather. Go check out Int'l Auto Parts.
They make good ones for under $300 per pair.

Subject: Leather seats coming apart in 164
Gang,
The passenger seat in my '91 164 is coming apart at
the seams. I just got back from a shop that told me
it could not be repaired since the leather has shrunk
about 1". He's talking big $ (for me a least) to have
the seats re-covered. Has anyone had this problem
repaired. I don't care so much that it looks like a
million $ just as long as it looks better than it does
now. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Carlos >>
