JON, i use the green knob simply because i don't get to drive the spider
often enough to keep the clock and security system from discharging the
battery in the period of a week... the knob works great--it's really not
just the threaded portion of the screw that makes contact; the brass screw
is machined witha shoulder washer that clamps the conductors together so the
conductive surface is really pretty large. Also, it is recommended to be put
on the negative terminal, so isn't the current draw less? i've not had any
problems with it. i also occasionally use a $12 Harbor Freight marketed
float charger to keep the battery fully charged.

I was wondering about those, anyone have any problems with them?
Sounds like a good idea, but I was wondering if the size of the screw
(conductor) is too small, it overheats or corrodes, or some other reason
they wouldn't be a good thing..
