RE: alfa-digest V8 #617 Frodo & SuperCharged

We're going to have to put the GTV on a dyno to get the fuel and
ignition maps dialed in right and probably go to a lower numerical ratio
on the diff to make some use of the lower gears. From the drivers seat,
the response from the blower is almost instant and flat, so there
doesn't seem to be much benefit to revving the sparkplugs out of it to
get high HP numbers. It's a torque motor, of course I plan to rev it up
to see what it does on the dyno after break-in. The rev limiter is
programmed at 5500rpm where the pulley ratio should give us about 12psi
boost.

Limited traction and fine tuning notwithstanding, the GTV gives up
nothing to my 164S off the line, difference is I don't have to use first
gear nor rev the GTV above 4000rpm at any point. After break-in and
working out the minor kinks, I won't be avoiding eye contact with Mr.
Baggy Pants in the next lane.

Scott captured the Alfa content in his excellent literary manner, this
bit of lightness with the pictures and dialog on the supercharger on the
clean SoCal GTV make the digest a pleasure. It will be nice to see the
progress made on the GTV as Ahmet keeps us informed of his
progress. Any idea of the HP made at the wheels with this effort?
