I'm way behind on digests so MAIA for the late comments --

I mentioned in an e-mail to a relative that I was meeting someone from the
Alfa club in South Africa -- they mailed back with "What's the Alpha club?"...
Argh.

I saw a BMW 535i listed on eBay a while back that the owner listed as a V8,
and in my local newspaper it's a rare weekend that doesn't have a classified
ad for a 325 claiming to have a V6.  I always want to call these people and
ask them if they've ever actually opened the hood of their car...
