Re:Alfa Museum directions

"Can someone who's been to the Alfa museum lately tell me how one goes about
getting there by car? A friend of mine will be in Milan next week and would
like to see the museum. Also, do any of you have pictures of the museum on
your web pages, or is there an official museum web page? He needs to
convince his travelling companions that it's worth their time."

I was there a couple months ago. If you're heading Northwest out of Milan
(away from Malpensa airport), you'll go through the Milano Nord tollgates.
Take the first exit which will be the Arese exit. Take this road to (I
think) the first intersection. You'll have a choice of turning right to go
towards Arese or left towards an industrial area. Go towards the industrial
area. If you do end up going towards Arese, when you hit Nuvolari Road
there is a sign (not visible to motorists going the way you will be heading)
pointing towards the Alfa factory. Once you get on track with these signs,
you can't miss the factory. If you don't know the signs are there, you'll
get to see a bit of Arese like I did.

I have no advice for going Southeast into Milan because we missed the Arese
exit and were caught up in a traffic jam when the workers from Alfa Romeo
went on stike and took over the Milano Nord tollbooths.

I have a lot of photos I can get to you offline.

Cheers,
Lawrence
