At long last! well almost....

About 24 months ago, my father started down the long path towards restoring
his 1967 GTV. The story behind this car is that it was originally purchased
as a daily driver that would be stripped of all part that could be used on
restoring his GTC. When the owner found this out, he actually broke down and
cried. My father, being the compassionate person that he is, promised the
man that he would not in fact gut this poor old man's
appliance-white-brought-over-from-Italy original GTV. Instead he had it
repainted, and dropped in a used Tom Sahines built 1750 (replacing the 1600,
that's still on an engine stand in the backyard shed). I think it was a
number of years later that my dad took me, my mom to meet up with the
original owner and his wife at Laguna Seca....the year it was all Alfas (85?
don't remember). I got to sit on my dad's lap and drive part of the track...

Well, I won't go into the restoration. I think I have my dad nailed down to
leaving me the car in his will...we'll see about that though. The
restoration took way too long, and I'm happy I wasn't in his shoes dealing
with the joker who painted the car and then the guy that put in the first
headliner. Oh, and then there's the missing bits and pieces (from when it
was getting painted)...anyhow...

He has made a gallery for the project, testing out his web building skills.
Please take a look at this beauty. It is truly a site to be seen. Now he
just has to get it together and have Tom build him a new engine to last
another 20 - 30 years....
