Chip Mutza ('88 75 3.0V6 racer) sent me this paragraph from an article in 
"Wheels", an Aussie car rag that he was reading last night:

"There is no wood in a 1965 Alfa Romeo GTA... the stripped out GTA racer 
had
an interior made of an exotic alloy called Peraluman 25. Nothing but alloy
and Italian-lounge vinyl in a 1965 GTA. There is no wood in Alfa's latest
156 GTA, either. It's got leather and aluminum, quality plastics, six
airbags, CD player, heated seats, and climate control. But there is no
wood... UNTIL YOU DRIVE IT."
