Re: "Daytonas" (was: Turbina weight)

Ron Ewing asks "As a followup, aren't the 5 spoke Campy wheels supposed to be
rather light as well? Much to choose from in that regard? Anybody have a set
of these for the Alfettas?"

Cromodora's advertising as of March 15 1975 says for Alfa Romeo Giulia, 1750,
2000, the CD-46 (our "Turbina"), 5-1/2J x 14, offset 38 mm, weighs 5.35 kg,
and the CD-35 (our five-spoke "Daytona"), 6JK x 14, offset 23 mm, weighs 5.0
kg. List prices are identical, $70.00. They also list a CD-47 for the Alfetta,
which should be the "Turbina", and "Daytonas" for Fiat (CD-31, 5-1/2J x 13),
Porsche 914/VW (CD-36, 6JK x 14), Opel/BMW (CD-32, 5-1/2J x 13), Mercedes
(CD-37, 6JK x 14 five bolt), Ford/Chrysler (CD-33, 5-1/2J x 13) and larger
Opel/BMWs (CD-38, 6JK x 14) but not for the Alfetta, although they may have
added them later. There are enough Cromodora Daytonas variants, let alone
copies, that I would be careful about measuring anything I bought at Hershey.
And no, I don't have a set for the Alfetta.

Happy searching,

John H.
