milano werde brake problem? the computer sez so...

hi all,

tho my milano werde's brakes seem fine, the computer lights go off whenever  the brakes are applied.  all the usual wiring/connection/sensor suspects have been checked & cleaned - pad sensors, computer connection, underhood connectors to the master/pump/etc., rear bulb grounds/sockets...  am i missing anything?  the accumulator *is* a bit weak, taking ~25 seconds for the abs light to go off, if the car has been sitting a few days. and the pump kicks on after ~5 brake-pedal activations.  but it still works fine, & it's been this way for a long time, while the dash-board computer light-show is relatively recent.
