Re: SUV Haters Unite

I dislike the SUV as a motor vehicle for use on English public roads for a
number of reasons.

1) They are too big for our rural roads...but then so are wagons, buses and
larger farm machinery.

2) There are too many with bullies behind the wheel who will drive two feet
behind you secure in the knowledge that in any collision they send you home
in the wooden box, not them. Not everyone one does this of course

3) They make nonsense of efforts to reduce energy consumption in the context
of domestic transport.

4) Where is the Sport in SUV?...refer back to 2) I suspect!

The four-wheel drive brigade in London drive me mad......in fact news has just
come in that a Land Rover Discovery has successfully crossed Kensington High
Street, though the expedition was threatened when the Lapsang Souchong ran out
somewhere near the white line. A mercy dash by navigator Cynthia
Plunket-Gently saved the day.
