Bob,
	If you rest your foot on the clutch pedal and it sinks to the floor your 
clutch master cylinder is bad. Sometimes you can get a little travel out of 
it by pressing the pedal quickly. If the system is leaking fluid the slave 
cylinder is most likely shot. If you replace/rebuild one, you should 
replace/rebuild them both as they wear out at almost exactly the same time. 
I had the slave cylinder replaced on my alfetta once and on the drive home 
from the mechanic's the master went out... The new seals in one can usually 
overpower the old seals in the other.
