Window channel gaskets

"Greetings!
I decided to replace the window channel gaskets in my spider. Two
questions: Do I need to take the window out? And what kind of glue should
AI use to keep the gaskets in place?
Thanks

Having just replaced the cable in the drivers door of my 91 Spider and
having removed the window, I don't think you will need to remove the window
to replace the rear channel but will need to, to replace the front one.
The rear channel on my 91 is held in by a pop rivet at the bottom, I did not
pay attention to how the front one was attached, however the parts CD I have
shows that they are held in with a rivet.
My $0.02 worth.
