Alfas and we nuts driving them.

You know, it's tough to read the digest post for post now with the added work
load of the WRX, but the vanity plate thread got me thinking... Do you folks
realize the minor and major pleasures that are derived from us owning a L.S.A.
{leaky squeaky Alfa}?

Along the lines of my long ago post of why do we drive Alfas, this one got me
thinking about the wonder cast of characters we run into as a result of our
Alfa affiliation.

Most of the friends I have are the result of the statistically impossibility
of seeing another Alfa in a gas station or a race event. I've been to races,
worked the pits in Daytona, been on a nuclear submarine ( ! ), sat in the
silent bliss of Bear Tooth Pass, Montana with not another soul for 10 miles in
any direction, passed a pick up truck at 115 mph in Montana, have friends who
encourage me in business ventures, e-mail friends in countries all over the
world, and it's -only- because of my enjoyment of Alfa Romeo...

Are these leaky, squeaky, oddball cars great?
