dumbest car thing

Many years ago, I dumped five quarts of motor oil straight through a Toyota
Corona station wagon engine due to not replacing the drain plug. I stormed
into the house, raging. My wife was watching the tube and laughing. She was
watching a commercial in which a chimpanzee was changing his own oil. The
gist of the ad was that anyone can do this.
My wife asked what was the matter.
"Nothing," I said.
Then I went outside, got in the other car and drove to get more oil.
